Private Violin Lessons: Suzuki and Kaleidoscopes. From Beginners to Advanced.
Thank you for considering Music Education for your child! I have been a violin teacher with the Suzuki Music Program of Los Angeles for almost 30 years, and I was a Suzuki parent myself for about 12 of those years, with my three daughters. So, I know what it's like on both sides of the street! I have been one of the Co-Directors of the Suzuki Music Program of Los Angeles since 2013. In addition to my Suzuki training, I have been trained in additional methods of teaching music to young children and adult beginners, including Kaleidoscopes, Music Mind Games, and Kodaly.
My private violin lessons take place at my home in Montrose, CA, or in students' homes, depending on where they live, day/time of the lessons, etc. I teach from the most basic beginner, starting at about age four, to advanced players in high school, as well as adults. There are multiple opportunities for recitals and public performances through the Suzuki Music Program of Los Angeles.
My current fees are $44 per half hour when I teach in my home, and $49 per half hour when I teach in a student’s home. A half hour is the usual time frame for students until they get older and more advanced. I create an individualized calendar of lessons for each family.
I teach many students who are homeschooled and operate through various charter schools. Per the requirements of those charter schools, my lessons are non-sectarian.
Please contact me at Robin@MusicMadeEasier.com for additional information. I am happy to arrange an opportunity to observe a lesson, and to have a "trial" lesson. Music Education is "the gift that keeps on giving!" - literally for generations!
